At the Midland Center for the Arts, they are bringing creativity and imagination to families looking to explore Midland history through the current exhibit, Forever Forest.

Men of Music Present a Christmas Concert with Sentimental Favorites (NEW)

The garland is hung and the Men of Music are rehearsing in preparation for the annual Christmas concert taking place at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. The theme of this year, How Great Our Joy, will include Christmas carols and holiday songs that appeal to audiences of all ages.

Blue’s Christmas Village Returns to the Bradley Home Holidays

Starting at an early age, Blue C. M. Dingman dreamed of assembling her own Christmas village. “I’ve always loved villages, since the time I was little, watching them get assembled for department stores in holiday movies on our families black-and-white television set,” said Dingman, the artist behind Blue’s Christmas Village at the 1874 Bradley Home this December. What started as a childhood memory signifying the holiday season quickly grew into 102 hand-painted homes, storefronts, hospitals and even a cemetery.

Midland Center Welcomes New Historical Programs and Exhibitions Manager

The Midland Center for the Arts recently announced Jacob Huss as the new Historical Programs and Exhibitions Manager. Jacob was formerly the Assistant Curator for the Midland County Historical Society and a Museum Generalist for the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art.

Midland Center for the Arts presents PJ Masks Live!

Based on the top rated animated series, the live show features preschoolers’ favorite super heroes, Catboy, Owlette and Gekko as they embark on action-packed capers, solve mysteries and save the day from the night time baddies, all while learning valuable lessons. PJ Masks Live will delight both children and parents alike with its audience interaction and toe taping tunes that will be sure to have the little ones out of their seats and dancing in the aisles.

Che Apalache Visits Washington Elementary School in Bay City

On Monday morning you could hear the sound of students shuffling through the halls of Washington Elementary School as they approached the school gymnasium with excitement. In an effort to connect youth in the community with high quality performing arts experiences, the Midland Center for the Arts brought Latin American string band, Che Apalache, to the students in Bay City, Mich.

Midland Center for the Arts Launches New Theatre Education Program

Midland Center for the Arts has launched a new educational program, Beginning Stages, to develop theatrical skills for youth with all levels of experience. As part of Center Stage Theatre, a community theatre company housed within the Center, Beginning Stages offers weekly educational workshops in performance and backstage skills for kids looking to explore the art of live theatre.
