Welcome, School Groups!


Heritage Park is open year-round for educational/group programs with reservation. Pricing begins at $5 per student or chaperone; teachers and administrators are FREE. Non-school group fees vary. We offer guided, educational trips to the 1874 Bradley Home, Herbert H. Dow Museum and Brinewell, Dorothy Dow Arbury Gallery, and temporary exhibitions.

Add-On Experiences for Groups

Travel back in time to investigate life in the 1800’s. This tour includes visiting the Bradley Home, Herbert H. Dow museum, the Brine Well, and visit the Carriage house to see carriages, sleighs and a horse-drawn ambulance.  Then, fast forward in time as you explore the Herbert D. Doan Center galleries and learn about the more recent history of Midland. This tour includes a hands-on activity. Choose from chemistry, electricity or art.

The 1874 Bradley Home is a hands-on historic house museum offering a glimpse of the everyday life of an early Midland family. Learn about family dynamics, luxuries & challenges, traditions & how they compare to YOUR daily life. Also includes a tour of the adjacent Carriage House & its collection of horse-drawn carriages and sleighs.

Home Holiday Tours / Share Victorian holiday traditions with your students during special tours available only during December.

Examine photos, toys, clothes and other artifacts of a Victorian child’s life and use that evidence to compare their lifestyle to ours. Our young historians will be able to dress-up, make a craft and listen to story. We think you will be amazed! 1.5-hour session.

Multi-media exhibits, audio and video displays and engaging hands-on activities provide a fascinating exploration of the early days of Midland’s largest business. Experiment with electrical currents, simple chemistry experiments and help to identify human, natural and capital resources that aided the founding of The Dow Chemical Company. (Half-day experience)

Art From the Heart Scholarships

A limited number of group field trip scholarships are available. Early application is recommended. Forms can be downloaded here or pick-up at the Ticket Office
