Country Artist Comes to Midland Center for the Arts with Special Guest Mo Pitney

Josh Turner, one of country music’s most recognizable hit-makers, makes a stop at Midland Center for the Arts March 14, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m., available online at midlandcenter.org, at the Center ticket office, or by calling 989-631-8250.

With his rich, deep voice and distinctive style, Josh Turner is recognized for his 2003 Platinum-selling debut “Long Black Train” to his 2017 Billboard No. 1 release, “Deep South.” He has scored multiple GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Awards nominations and received six Inspirational County Music Awards. One of the youngest members inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, Turner has sold more than 8 million records, topped more than 1.5 billion in global streaming and populated the radio with such memorable hits as “Hometown Girl,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Your Man,” “Time Is Love,” “Why Don’e We Just Dance” and “Long Black Train.”

His newest project, “I Serve A Savior,” debuted at No. 1 on Nielsen’s Top Current Country Albums Chart, and No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart and Billboard’s Top Christian Albums Chart.

Turner will be joined by special guest, Mo Pitney, who when sings “let me tell you about country” in his debut single, he’s doing more than telling. He’s showing. Appropriately titled, the song “Country” is as much positioning statement as introduction. The vocal delivery, storytelling, musicianship and reflections of his outdoor lifestyle – as well as faith, family and patriotism – offer a spot-on portrayal. Joined by early fan favorites “Clean Up On Aisle Five” and “Come Do A Little Life,” the song carves an unmistakably country yet completely fresh groove for the genre.
